આ Function ભૂતકાળમાં બનેલી ઘટના દર્શાવવા માટે વપરાય છે.

આ માટે સાદો ભૂતકાળ અને ચાલુ ભૂતકાળનો અભ્યાસ કરવો.

વાક્ય રચના

subject + action word ( past form ) + object  [ સાદો ભૂતકાળ ]

Examples

I did not tell a lie at my office.

Hemant made a mistake in his exam.

Sneha wrote a letter to her friend.

Teacher revised us the topic.

I bought a new bicycle.

subject + was/were + action word ( -ing form ) + object

Examples

Mr. Sharma was driving the car yesterday.

Children were playing in the garden.

Gargi was a reading a story that night.
